Finance Assistant

Reed Accountancy are proud to be working with a business in York who are recruiting a Finance Assistant to join their small and friendly team. This is a full-time and permanent position which offers hybrid working if desired.  You will support the finance team by maintaining the purchase and sales ledgers. Location: York
Salary: £23,396
Working Hours: Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 9am-4:30pm (37 hours)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure invoices are processed correctly
• Set up new supplier accounts
• Create new customer accounts
• Process invoices
• Liaise with other offices to resolve queries
• Reconciles supplier accounts
• Maintain accurate records
• Liaise with customers over payments and queries
• Build strong relationships across departments and develop key relationships with colleagues

You will need to demonstrate:

• Some experience working within a finance team/office environment
• Use of Microsoft packages including Excel
• Friendly and adaptable
• Ability to manager workload and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral
