Working for a dynamic and rapidly growing £7.5 million turnover business with ambitious growth plans. They are a forward-thinking company dedicated to maximizing profitability and generating free cash flow to drive our expansion and success in the marketplace.

Our client is looking for someone to offer support one day per week.

The company is in a rural setting therefore, candidates must be able to drive.

General duties to include:

Strategic Financial Planning:

  • Collaborating with the executive team to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives.
  • Conducting regular financial analysis to identify opportunities for improving profitability and cash flow efficiency.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Leading the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and targets.
  • Providing accurate and timely financial forecasts to support decision-making and resource allocation.

Financial Performance Management:

  • Monitoring key financial metrics and KPIs to track performance against targets.
  • Implementing cost control measures and efficiency improvements to enhance profitability.
  • Identifying and analysing revenue growth opportunities to drive top-line expansion.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Developing and maintaining robust cash flow forecasting models to optimise liquidity management.
  • Implementing cash flow improvement initiatives and working capital optimisation strategies.
  • Liaising with external stakeholders, including banks and investors, to secure financing and support cash flow requirements.

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

  • Overseeing the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax requirements.
  • Providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making and risk management.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior management and department heads, to drive financial performance and accountability.
  • Representing the finance function in meetings with external stakeholders, such as investors, auditors, and regulatory bodies.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Director or similar role, preferably within a high-growth environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, including profitability analysis, cash flow management, and budgeting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and analysis tools.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Relevant professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA are highly desirable.
