Finance Manager

Our exclusive client is currently looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Finance Manager/Management Accountant for their well-established business based in Preston. The role is reporting directly to the FD/MD, and Board of Directors, and will be a pivotal role within the business as you lead and manage the current finance team, producing all the monthly and statutory reports and get involved in ongoing strategic projects.

Duties include: -

• Fully responsible for reporting of the month management pack and develop the current commentary reports

• Produce the statutory reporting pack, liaise with auditors, and fulfil all compliance requirements

• Develop accountability with the budgeting and projected forecasts, monitoring all costs and demonstrating visibility across the business

• Manage the current finance team, support on-going development, and promote a cohesive team environment

• Provide direction across the business with sales and operational managers to control internal expenditure and costs

• Manage the finance team of 3 and support them in developing better controls and processes within the ledgers

• Responsible for all HMRC, VAT and Tax submissions across the Group

The successful candidate will be joining a great business that has excelled over the last few years but needs to have a strong strategic focus to push the business to the next level and expand into European markets. You will be influential in your approach and streamline the current reporting pack and add value to the wider business. Ideally you will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with some experience of managing a small team, although strong QBE candidates will be considered.
