Financial Controller

Interim Financial Controller, Bury St Edmunds, £300-£400 Per day

If so, this role is for you. Reporting to the Finance Director with focus on leadership, management, systems improvement, and systems utilisation. This exciting opportunity will allow you to lead an outstanding finance team in a highly productive company.

You will take on the responsibilities stated below:

• Management and development of the financial function, incorporating accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, audit, contract asset, tax and treasury, with 5 direct reports.
• Working to streamline systems processes and bring them together in house for more efficient operating.
• Building strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
• Responsibility for the purchase and sales ledger functions.
• Overseeing the management accounts function, including P&L, balance sheet, indirect cashflow and all associated reporting.
• Cash flow management.
• Playing a key part in the annual audit, supporting auditors to ensure a smooth and timely audit annually.
• Leading annual budget process and regular forecasting
• Supporting with ad hoc tasks when required.

Desired experience and qualifications:

• ACCA, ACA or CIMA Qualified; or QBE
• Excellent Financial Systems skills
• Experienced Financial Controller with a clear view of "what good looks like".
• Possession of excellent managerial skills.
• Demonstrable ability to both prioritise and delegate.
• Adopts a growth mindset to improve own skills by continually looking for personal development opportunities and keeping abreast of latest best practices.
