The Firm
A Legal 500, leading law firm are seeking a Float Legal Secretary to support various departments in their London office.

The Opportunity
The successful candidate will provide secretarial and administrative support to a range of Fee Earners, mainly in their Property department. You will need be confident in managing a full workload, working to tight deadlines and be able to work well under pressure. This role will cover absences, holiday, and overflow of work from all departments. Duties to include:

  • Opening files and assisting with the client due diligence process
  • Liaising with clients, Fee Earners, and Reception to organise meetings.
  • Managing Fee Earners diary and inbox
  • Assisting with bookings for conferences and restaurants
  • Taking telephone calls and messages for Fee Earners
  • Document production and reformatting documents
  • Preparing and sending out correspondence
  • E-filing and Paper filing
  • Archiving of files and documents
  • Preparing posting slips for monies coming in and going out
  • Preparing Probate Information Sheets
  • Amending Excel Accounts
  • Billing - preparing billing guides and drafting bills.

This Float Legal Secretary opportunity is a full time, permanent role, working Monday - Friday, 9:30am -5:30pm.

The Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Float Legal Secretary within a law firm
  • Previous experience supporting a Property team
