General Manager required for an award-winning independent travel agency based in Wiltshire. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the office and managing a small team. This role is Monday to Friday with some Saturdays and pays a salary of up to £30,000 plus bonus.

General Manager responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate the team to hit and exceed sales targets and provide high levels of customer service
  • Take care of shop merchandise and ensure social media is up to date
  • Attend supplier events and develop relationships with suppliers
  • Report activity and sales figures to the operations director
  • Interview and recruit staff, conduct monthly catch ups and job reviews and constantly monitor and coach staff
  • Be hands on with bookings and contributing to sales

General Manager skills required:

  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Previous leadership experience in the travel industry
  • Sound knowledge of the retail travel industry
  • Working knowledge of a GDS - Sabre preferred

Additional information:

  • Mon-Fri 9.30am-5.30pm and 2 Saturdays per month 9.30am-5pm
  • Up to £30,000
  • Bonus scheme
