Tradewind are searching for a geography teacher to work at a school in the Greenwich area. The teacher will need to start in September 2024 and will be expected to stay at the school until the end of the academic year 2025. There will be a full time post up for grabs next summer so if the term is fruitful then they will be an opportunity to gain a direct school contract.

The school is Outstanding in their latest OFSTED review and would be perfect for an ECT who would like to practice their craft with well-behaved pupils. The school is seen as desirable in the local area and is currently oversubscribed with many wanting to attend. The department is experienced with some staff members having been there for several years, making it a supportive place to work.

The role

  • Based in the Greenwich area.
  • Geography teacher, with ECT's welcome to apply.
  • Opportunity to gain a full-time school contract.
  • Pay will be up to pay scale (M1-UPS3).
  • Planning and marking responsibilities.

Head of geography teacher would be considered for the position.

The school is based in the Greenwich area close to the DLR line making it an easy commute from surrounding boroughs. There is also overground train and buses that are nearby. The school is accessible by car, but the car park is small so alternative parking is advised.
