Head of Events (GRADUATES) | Fast-Growth Sports Foundation | London

The Client

Harmonic is excited to be working exclusively with a fast-growth sports foundation who is looking for a Head of Events to join its growing team.

This company was founded through the love of football and wanting to make the sport accessible for less advantaged families and players. The company has come a long way, starting with just an idea from the CEO when coaching grassroot teams to now running a team of over 60 sessions that run sessions all throughout London and engaging around 6,000 young kids every single week. These programs help young people to have access to soft skills development, improvements in mental and physical health alongside connecting them through a community that is not discriminated by socioeconomic backgrounds.

The company is currently expanding very fast and is looking for bright, ambitious graduates who are looking to make a real impact and change to communities in London through the love of football. The offices are based in Camden, London and are proud of their non-corporate, fun and innovative culture.

The Role:

This role will report to the CEO and be responsible for the new entity set up to support themed events and campaigns for corporates. The role has lots of exposure to the Board also as you will be able to present the board.

Duties:

  • Generate income used to expand company programmes and build the brand.
  • Planning and setting up the new events entity.
  • Sourcing, planning and delivering events ranging from working with Nike to big venues like Stamford Bridge.
  • Build on existing relationships to continue support for the company.
  • Focus on business development to secure new work and connections.
  • Ensure the financial and social impact targets are met for the events piece.
  • Work with the CEO and board on ad-hoc projects.

  • Some past events experience.
  • Desire to work in sports or social impact.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Desire to learn and work autonomous.
  • Problem solver.
  • Pro-active and a driver within the business who is results orientated.

What we would like to see (Non-Essential Experience):

Salary: £30,000 - £38,000
