Head of PE and Sport female

Your new school This post is being advertised with reference to Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act (2010). I am currently working with a 3-18 private school in Cardiff to find a female Head of PE and Sport to hit the ground running in a department of 5. The school has high standards of teaching and excellent facilities, allowing the pupils to succeed. The leadership team have a clear vision for the school and communicate it very well to create an inclusive ethos and a strong community feeling.

Your new roleYou will be required to teach practical and theory lessons from KS3 - KS5, and work with KS1 and KS2 coordinators to deliver practical lessons to the lower school. The school are looking for someone who can:

• Organise fixtures and transport.
• Promote the profile of sport within the school and community.
• Lead a department of 5.
• Deliver a wide variety of sports training.
• Promote the positive school ethos.

What you'll need to succeedThe ideal candidate must have previous experience of leading a PE department. You will also have:

• Strong leadership skills.
• Ability to promote sports and fixtures.
• Ability to drive a minibus.
• Experience teaching up to A-Level.
• The ability to communicate effectively working in a team.
• DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
• Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of pupils.
