HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGER

BEESTON, LEEDS

SALARY CIRCA £ 60k

Our client is a medium sized manufacturer based in South Leeds, they are looking to recruit a qualified health and safety manager encompassing the remit of compliance. You will have a strong background in a similar position within manufacturing.

As the health and safety manager your main duties will be, but not confined to..

Management of the Quality System

• Management and ownership of the ISO 9001 accreditation system
• Management, ownership of ISO 14001 Environmental Management system.
• Ensuring all company procedures are fit for purpose and identifying improvement opportunities
• Ensuring all audits are up to data and any corrective actions are followed up
• Promoting a culture of continuous improvement across the business
• Monitoring company KPI’s and reporting on progress
• Working with the company Technical Manager ensuring all FCP requirements are maintained to meet the requirements of the CPR.
• Investigation of Non-conformance
• Using the company 8D (Non-conformance) system, the compliance manager will act as a Champion to investigate any non-compliance and implement actions to prevent re-occurrence

Health and Safety

• Management and ownership of the companies Health and Safety System via Citation
• Ensuring the company is legally compliant with all relevant Health and Safety Regulations
• Promoting a culture of good practice relating to Health and Safety at Work
• Performing all necessary Risk assessments and implementing actions ass necessary
• Reporting all Health and Safety matters
• Working with Manufacturing to produce safe working practices
  

This is a permanent position, employed by the company from day one. The role is office based, 5 days a week, 31 days holiday and enrolment on to the company bonus scheme.
As the health and safety manager, with compliance, you will enjoy a salary of up to £50k.
