Health Litigation Solicitor

Our client is an extremely well regarded and highly reputable practice based in Manchester city centre, looking to expand its health litigation team with a new solicitor to handle EL/PL claims. This team is award-winning, having received major recognition over the last few years, most recently being named as Legal Services Provider of the Year by the Health Service Journal.

Role

The team specialises in handling clinical negligence and EL/PL claims for NHS Resolution, NHS Trusts and other defendant clinical negligence clients.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Drafting reports to NHS Resolution
• Interviewing witnesses
• Drafting witness statements
• Instructing experts
• Instructing counsel
• Attend Court for Case Management Conferences and Application Hearings
• Negotiating settlements
• Holding conferences with Counsel
• Preparing for and attending trials and mediations

Ideal Candidate

• Qualified solicitor
• Defendant EL/PL experience preferred but not essential, claimant candidates will be considered
• Solid PI background
• Driven, committed and interest in meeting needs and expectations
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
