The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Avonmouth area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.

Hours: Days or nights on a 40 hour contract.

Days - must be able to work Saturday and Sunday

Nights - must be able to work Friday and Sunday

Pay Rate: Days - £12.87, rising to £13.52 after 12 weeks / Nights - £14.50 rising to £15.15 after 12 weeks

Location: Avonmouth , BS11

Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate

The role:

  • Working set shifts (rota planned in advance), 5/7 shifts every week - days or nights.
  • Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
  • Handling runs with 4-5 delivery stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
  • Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle.
  • Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
  • 40 hour workweeks for full time positions but flexible contracts are an option.

Requirements:

  • · Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
  • · Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
  • · No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
  • · Full understanding of WTD legislation.
  • · Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
  • · Excellent communication skills.
  • · A safety-first mindset.
