HGV2 Driver
Our client who are based in Reading are currently recruiting for an HGV2 Driver to join their organisation on a permanent basis.
This role is Monday to Friday, no weekend work is required. Competitive salary is on offer dependant on experience.
As the HGV2 Driver, you will be responsible for:
- Collecting & delivering machines as directed by the Transport Manager, who schedules runs on a weekly & /daily basis.
- Ensuring straps and loading gear are used effectively and machines are delivered & collected intact.
- You will be required to be able to help load & /unload your vehicles, with the aid of lifting gear, and assisted by forklift truck operators/warehouse assistants.
- Checking off goods.
- You will be covering London and the South of England but will be required to cover for North run driver holidays,
- On the rare occasions, where not required on the road, drivers are required to help in the warehouse.
- Drivers are responsible for adhering to driving regulations.
Qualifications & skills required:
- HGV 2 level - required.
- Manual Handling - required.
- Health & Safety - required.
- Knowledge of UK map - advantageous
- Loading/Unloading Experience - required.
- Working knowledge of driver legislation
- Full clean driving licence
- A great work ethic is essential for this role with a flexible attitude.
