Role: HR Assistant

location: Nottingham City Centre – hybrid (3 days in office)

Hours: 40 hours per week – flexible

Duration: 8-month FTC  

Salary: £25k – £26k


Are you a seasoned administrator who has always wanted to get into the world of HR? Or maybe you are starting out in your HR career and would love to get involved in different projects? If so, this is definitely the opportunity you have been waiting for.  

This is an incredible opportunity for an efficient and slick administrator to gain some valuable skills within HR. You will be exposed to recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, budgeting…the list is endless – if you have the appetite to get involved, this is your chance!

Working in the creative industry, you will be supporting a team of 5 within the HR function. You will have the autonomy to create how your week looks, flexible hours and a supportive team to learn from.

Responsibilities:

  • Process offers and onboarding information – send offer letters and new starter forms, send references, process DBS checks, request qualifications and update the relevant tracking sheets
  • Produce and send contracts for new starters in advance of their start date.
  • Write to employees to confirm any changes to their terms and conditions, update systems and ensure copies are kept in the employee file.
  • Acknowledge resignation letters and book exit interviews.
  • Input overtime and expenses and other changes which affect pay, salaries and benefits.
  • Manage the onboarding for new starters pension scheme and accurately update the system with leavers, opt-outs, and other relevant changes.
  • Produce a monthly sickness report and highlight to the PSO manager any staff who have a high level of sickness absence.
  • Support with embedding the EDI calendar, plan HR activities, draft communications to send to staff and help with organising activities to celebrate the events within the calendar.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience of providing exceptional administration and assistance in a busy and varied environment.
  • Experience of using Microsoft packages to an intermediate/ advanced level.
  • Experience of updating and reporting from databases, systems, trackers and other information-based tools and platforms.
  • Experience of managing own workload with multiple tasks and priorities.
