Infrastructure Systems Engineer required for our client in Guildford, Surrey.

This role is offer hybrid working. Role is paying up to £60k DOE.

Infrastructure Systems Engineer needed for a Hybrid role in Guildford.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer, implement, and maintain IT Infrastructure elements like Networking and Storage.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for infrastructure services such as Networking, Cloud, Mail, Remote access, and SAN.
  • Lead the implementation of new infrastructure services via project schedules and change management.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks like firmware updates, O/S patch management, and system upgrades.
  • Provide 3rd line support within the Service Desk, resolving escalated incidents promptly.
  • Offer technical expertise on IT matters and assist the Infrastructure Manager as needed.
  • Review systems architecture and security, assess new technologies, and recommend enhancements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in senior technical support and project delivery.
  • Strong background in managing complex network environments for internal and/or external customer IT functions.
  • Proficiency in administering corporate networks, virtual compute environments, and various technologies including Microsoft servers, Network hardware, SAN/NAS storage, HP hardware, Fortinet firewalls and switches, Linux, Firewall management, VPN, and VMware vSphere technologies.
