The role:

This role is perfect for someone looking to step into an Infrastructure Engineering position that will be project-focused. At the beginning, you will focus on server administration, upgrades, patching systems and incident management. Training form the team will lead you to a role that’s focused full-time on project and service improvement. You will gain experience with storage technologies, virtualisation and cloud technologies within this learning period.

Key skills to start this role include:

  • Operating systems - Windows Server / Linux
  • Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Basic understanding of Networking concepts
  • Troubleshooting of applications on end-user devices
  • End User device management
  • Microsoft Configuration and Operations Manager
  • Ability to pass SC clearance
  • Drivers liscence

Desirable skills include:

  • VMWare/ Hyper V
  • Backup and recovery platforms
  • Azure or AWS experience

This role is primarily remote with 1 or 2 days per month in a Central Newcastle location.

Newcastle upon Tyne/ Hybrid Working/ Flexitime/ Monday – Friday/ 37.5 hours
