KS2 Graduate Teaching Assistant

Are you a graduate able to support SATS preparation for Year 6 pupils?

Can you provide 1:1 and small group intervention support, helping attainment levels and bridging the gap between under-chieving pupils and their peers?

If so, this is the perfect role as a KS2 Graduate Teaching Assistant!

*** KS2 Graduate Teaching Assistant
*** Salary: £80 - £90 per day
*** September 2024 – July 2025
*** Location: Wolverhampton
*** 1:1 and small group SATs supports

Responsibilities:
Supporting the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons
Working with individual students and small groups to provide additional support and guidance
Helping to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment
Assisting with classroom management and behaviour management strategies
Helping to assess and monitor student progress
Contributing to the wider school community, including attending school events and meetings

The ideal graduate should be: 
  • Patience and empathy: As EYFS children are young and just beginning their educational journey, a TA must have patience and empathy while working with them.
  • Creativity and imagination: EYFS children learn best through play and creative activities, so a TA should have a creative and imaginative mind to come up with exciting and engaging activities for the children.
  • Adaptability: EYFS children's needs and abilities can vary greatly, and a TA must be adaptable to adjust their teaching methods and activities to meet these needs.
  • Enthusiasm and energy: Working with young children requires a lot of energy and enthusiasm, and a TA should be willing to participate fully in all classroom activities.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic graduate to join team as a KS2 Graduate Teaching Assistant at a vibrant and diverse primary school in Wolverhampton. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children and helping them achieve their full potential, providing 1:1 and small group intervention support in preparation for their SATs examinations in May.
