Metalis is working with a reputable engineering company who due to growth, are looking to hire a Laser Operative to join their expanding team on a 12 week temporary to permanent basis. The role will be days regular, Monday - Friday.

Role Overview:

Our client is seeking a Punch & Laser Operator who is responsible for operating punch & laser cutting machinery and other laser-based equipment to produce components and products to specification in a fast paced environment. This role involves setting up, programming and maintaining punch & laser cutting machinery, as well as monitoring and adjusting the machinery to ensure a high-quality product is produced.

Duties & Requirements:

• Set up and operate Trumpf punch & laser cutting machines
• Set up and operate Bystronic laser cutting machines
• Monitor punch & laser machines during operation
• Maintain and troubleshoot punch & laser equipment
• Monitor the quality of parts produced
• Keep records of production and operation of the machines
• Must be able to interpret engineering drawings and technical information in order to produce the required components
• Able to set up and operate punch & laser cutting machines
• Able to check and measure the accuracy of components
• Able to work accurately and pay attention to detail
• Able to work to tight deadlines
