Learner Support Funding Administrator - Temp to Perm - Clapham

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

Hybrid: 2 days a week from work from home

Job Description

We are recruiting for a College in Clapham. The role is to support the administration and distribution of Learner Support Funds, including accurate recording, processing, communicating, and reporting on the use of the funds. Learner Support Funds (LSF) include Discretionary Learner Support (DLS), Advanced Learner Loans (ALL) Bursaries, 16-19 Bursaries, and Free School Meals (FSM) funds. These funds are distributed to students as bursaries, travel and events costs, equipment costs, childcare costs or in some cases tuition fees

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Student publicity Information up to date
  • Student Enquiries • Inform on decisions.
  • Nursery Liaison (internal and external
  • Childcare record keeping
  • Allocation of funds records
  • Reports on funds to head of Learner Services
  • MIS liaison re attendance records
  • Monitor attendance for bursary payments.
  • Process 19+ bursary payments 2
  • Process applications from the Transport for London portal.
  • Ensure LSF rules met for support for educational visits.
  • Promote care to learn, family grants.
  • Process vulnerable people claims.
  • Manage Go Henry cards for FSM, process top ups, resolve issues and block cards accordingly.
  • Process loan bursary payments.
  • Register hardship forms in student record system.
  • Ensure all payments made comply with regulations and are properly authorised.
  • Raise POs for services to students.

Person Specification:

  • DBS Certificate
  • Any level AAT qualification
  • Experience in financial assistance work

Salary

  • £28,000 - £32,000
