Learning Support Assistant

Classroom Support are working to recruit an experienced and qualified Learning Support Assistant on behalf of a SEN school in Hackney, with a view to starting immediately.

The school is a coeducational day school which caters for students across all Key stages with EHC Plans of social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties and a range of additional learning difficulties including Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties.

Your key duties as a Learning Support Assistant will be to:

  • Support students 1:1 and on a small group basis.

  • Follow IEPs.

  • Manage any challenging behaviour.

  • Work under the direction of the class teacher.

It is desirable that you have previous experience supporting pupils with SEN and being trained in either Team Teach or Pro Act Skip is advantageous.

The school is set in the north London borough of Hackney and has excellent transport links. The students and staff take part in vocational studies take full advantage of the schools fantastic facilities.
