Lecturer in Teacher Education
  • Salary: £35,000-£38,000
  • Location: Hampshire
  • Job Type: Part time

We are seeking an experienced Lecturer in Teacher Education to join our dedicated team. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in Primary and/or Secondary school education, who are passionate about teaching and assessing at Levels 4, 5, and 6. The position offers flexibility with part-time and sessional opportunities available, and most teaching is delivered in the evening with observations during the school day.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Teach on Higher Education and Further Education courses, specifically Foundation Degree and Top Up degree for Learning Support Assistants.
  • Conduct classroom observations during the school day.
  • Engage with adult learners in Higher Education to ensure they reach their full potential.
  • Provide training and support to students in specialised areas such as English as an Additional Language, Comparative Education, SEND (if applicable).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in teaching and assessing at Levels 4, 5, and 6.
  • Background in Primary and/or Secondary school education.
  • Specialisms in English as an Additional Language, Comparative Education, SEND are beneficial but not essential.
  • Enthusiastic and motivated individual with the ability to engage HE adult learners.
  • Commitment to professional development and training.
