We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Associate Director to join our client's newly formed M&A team, with a primary focus on both the execution and origination of deals. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our M&A practice, contributing to the identification, evaluation, and execution of strategic transactions.

Responsibilities:

Deal Execution:
Lead and manage the end-to-end execution of M&A transactions, including due diligence, financial modeling, valuation analysis, negotiation, and deal structuring.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and operations, to ensure seamless deal execution and timely completion.
Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management throughout the deal process.
Oversee the preparation of transaction documents, including investment memorandums, presentations, and board materials.

Deal Origination:
Proactively identify and evaluate potential M&A opportunities aligned with the company's strategic objectives and growth initiatives.
Develop and maintain relationships with key industry players, intermediaries, and potential targets to source proprietary deal flow.
Conduct market research and analysis to assess industry trends, competitive dynamics, and acquisition targets.
Work closely with senior management to develop and refine the company's M&A strategy and target criteria.

Team Leadership and Development:
Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance and support in their professional growth and development.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the M&A team, promoting teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering superior results.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, or M&A advisory. Must have experience working within a professional services firm
Proven track record of successfully executing M&A transactions from origination to completion.
Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior executives and external stakeholders.
Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of M&A dynamics, industry trends, and competitive landscapes.
Leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve their full potential.
