Management Accountant

Reed Accountancy & Finance is actively seeking a Management Accountant for an esteemed client based in Folkestone. This role is an ongoing contract position, ideal for a dedicated professional who is available to start immediately.

• Preparing the annual budget and rewriting budget models to align with financial objectives.
• Producing detailed variance analysis to identify discrepancies and areas for financial improvement.
• Monitoring performance rigorously against the budget, providing insights and recommendations.
• Compiling monthly and annual management accounts to accurately reflect the company’s financial status.
• Preparing cash flow statements to track the liquidity and financial health of the organisation.
• Managing month-end accruals and prepayments to ensure all financial activities are accounted for accurately.
• Deputising for the Finance Manager as required, providing leadership and support to the finance team.

The ideal Management Accountant will possess the following:

• Relevant qualifications, such as ACCA or CIMA certification.
• Immediate availability to commence the contract.
• Proven experience in a similar Management Accounting role, demonstrating a track record of financial management and strategic budgeting.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data to inform business decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to deputise for the Finance Manager and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
