Graduate Teaching Assistant, Math Specialist

Contract Type: Full-time, Academic Year

Start Date: September 2023

Rate: £85-£95 per day, depending on experience

We are currently seeking a dedicated Graduate Math Specialist Teaching Assistant to join the team at a reputable Secondary School located in Barnet. This is a full-time position starting in September 2023 for the entire academic year.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Math department in delivering high-quality lessons and supporting students in their learning journey.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance in Mathematics.
• Help create and implement engaging and interactive learning activities that cater to students' diverse needs.
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering a love for Mathematics among students.
• Collaborate with the teaching staff to contribute to the development and improvement of the Math curriculum.

Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field (minimum 2:1 classification).
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to students.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Previous experience working with secondary school students is desirable but not essential.
• A patient and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to help students overcome their challenges.
