Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant

*** Providing 1:1 and small group GCSE maths support to students aged 11-16.

Requirements:
  • At least a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, or a related field.
  • Passion and enthusiasm for the field of maths and a drive to instil this into secondary school students.
  • A strong understanding of mathematical concepts and the ability to share this knowledge with students.
  • A clear communication style and a warm, friendly personality.
  • Previous experience of working with students, or in a school setting, beneficial but not essential.

The Role
In your role as a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the planning and delivery of maths lessons that adhere to the GCSE national curriculum. You will also monitor and track students’ progression to ensure that learning materials can be adapted to suit the needs of each individual student. You will provide support in a 1-2-1 and small group setting and build strong bonds with both students and staff to ensure the maintenance of a positive learning environment.
