My client is a global research-based biopharmaceutical company.  
They are seeking an experienced Medical Science Liaison to join them initially on a 12 month contract.

Ideally experience with HIV or infectious diseases.

Role
  • Responds to clinical inquiries regarding marketed or developmental products
  • Develops and presents complex scientific and clinical data for these products
  • Identifies and develops regional and national opinion leaders to support products and trains approved speakers through personal contacts and on-site visits
  • Establishes strong relationships with opinion leaders, clinical investigators and healthcare professionals in academic and non- academic settings
  • Supports sales force with training at national and regional levels
  • Works on Phase IV programme that includes collaboration with both investigators and internal personnel
  • Selects sites for both Phase IV and other clinical trials
  • Anticipates complex obstacles and difficulties that may arise in the field and resolves them in a collaborative manner
  • Works collaboratively with personnel in Sales, Marketing, Clinical Research, market access and public affairs
  • Utilises scientific resources to deliver impactful presentations in a variety of different settings
  • Travels to appointments, meetings and conferences on a frequent and regular basis, occasionally with short notice
Education and Experience       

  • Advanced degree (e.g. Medical doctor, PharmD, PhD,) required or may have a degree in pharmacy/nursing/life sciences with varying levels of clinical and/or industry experience
  • Clinical practice experience and NHS landscape awareness within a relevant therapeutic area of interest are desirable
  • Therapy areas – HIV, Hepatitis or infectious diseases
