Job Type: Full-time, Shift Work (including on-call for emergencies)
Location: Medway
Salary: £38,000 - £45,000

We are seeking a dedicated Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team. Reporting directly to the Senior Engineer/Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and timely completion of maintenance tasks and projects. This role involves shift work, including on-call duties to cover emergency breakdowns and shutdown periods.

Day to Day of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer role:

• Complete all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities on time, providing feedback to improve the system.
• Ensure effective handover of ongoing activities with the opposite shift Engineer daily.
• Contribute knowledge to continuous improvement of plant, machinery, and maintenance activities.
• Aim to enhance equipment performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
• Conduct equipment repairs safely and keep Production informed of progress.
• Perform remedial engineering works as directed by the Engineering Manager.
• Communicate any equipment or site safety risks to the Manager.
• Work with the Senior Engineer to ensure contractors adhere to site Health and Safety rules.

Required Skills & Qualifications of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer:

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Electrical Installation 18th Edition.
• Experience in Electrical Installation Maintenance.
• Mechanical Fabrication/Maintenance skills.
• Proficient in electronic fault finding to component level.
• High attention to detail and decision-making ability.

Education/Experience of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer:

• Recognised qualification relevant to the role (e.g., mechanical or electrical City & Guilds).
• Skilled in both Electrical and Mechanical trades, apprenticeship with indentures preferred.
• Knowledge of other engineering disciplines such as pneumatics, hydraulics, and steam systems is advantageous.
