Our Milton Keynes based client is a market leader in their field. They are accredited with, Investor in People and Living wage. Alongside this they have won an impressive number of awards including but not limited to; SME Business Innovation and SME Milton Keynes Business of the year.They have gone from strength to strength and have an impressive client base and an elite, highly successful sales team driving the business forward! The successful candidate for this role will come from a product based sales role, ideally from one of the following sectors; Catering equipment, workwear, PPE, stationary or the hygiene and janitor products sector.

The successful candidate will lead from the front by demonstrating strategy, tenacity and proactivity. This is a an excellent opportunity to lead an already performing team and benefit from an impressive, realistic commission package. This is office and field based role with travel and some overnight stays when necessary.

Day-to-day responsibilities of the role:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
  • Negotiate and close agreements with large customers.
  • Monitor and analyse performance metrics and suggest improvements.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
  • Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities.
  • Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients' needs.
  • Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency.
  • Stay up to date with new product launches and ensure sales team members and customers are on board.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience of working in a B2B  product based sales environment
  • Team Management and motivation including strategy and analysis of sales performance
  • Dynamic individual with drive and energy
  • The ability to build and forge long term business relationships 
  • Excellent negotiation skills
