Position: Nursery Teacher

Starting Date: 2nd September 2024

The children, staff and Governors of a Huyton-based Primary School are seeking to appoint an inspirational, experienced Nursery teacher to join their wonderful, dedicated team from September 2024.

The person appointed will have responsibility for a nursery class and will work alongside the Early Years Leader to drive school's vision for the development of children in the early years.

We are looking for someone who has:


  • Excellent classroom organisation and behaviour management skills;
    * High expectations of all pupils and is committed to creating a stimulating classroom environment;
    * The ability to enthuse children to learn and understands what is required to secure outstanding progress;
    * A passion for education and is able to demonstrate consistently good and outstanding classroom practice;
    * Excellent communication skills at all levels and has experience of managing support staff effectively;
    * The ability to inspire, motivate and work effectively in a team;
    * Experience of teaching pupils with various SEND needs;
    * The ability to support children, of all abilities, through inclusive practice;
    * Great creativity and knows how to support children to become independent, persevere with challenges and present their work to a high standard;
    * A belief in the development of the whole child.
