A brand new opportunity has arisen for a prestigious law firm that will have recently opened a brand new office in the prime location of Colmore Row in central Birmingham.

They are looking for an Office Services Manager to become the interview with the UK Operations Manager and the office management and front of house teams across multiple UK offices.

Salary = Circa £45-55,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours = 35 hours a week – 9am-5pm Monday to Friday

Location = Birmingham City Centre is the local office, however this is hybrid working and travel to other sites is required.

This role with join the national facilities and operations team and play an instrumental role in the management of the national office portfolio.

The main focus of this role is to head up and strategically manage our newly formed Office Services team.

The Office Services team will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of each UK office, as well as taking responsibility for Front of House, travel and procurement. The Office Services Manager will also be required to manage key stakeholders and ensure that the firm’s strategy is embedded across the team, implementing changes as and when required

Duties:

  • Line manging the Office Managers, Front of House supervisor and Travel & Procurement Team
  • Overseeing Travel and Procurement policies and procedures
  • Ensuring that the team is compliant with legislation
  • Strive to deliver outstanding customer service to both internal stakeholders and external clients as a national office services team, ensuring that the service clients receive is outstanding and consistent across all offices.
  • Implementing and designing policies and procedures
  • Managing relationships with various contractors and suppliers
  • Ensuring all our offices remain presentable and always fit for purpose in all respects
  • Participation in a variety of projects.  

The ideal candidate for this role:

  • Will have previous mutli-site office services management experience from a legal or corporate background
  • Willingness to travel
  • A demonstrable ability to communicate effectively, influence and develop relationships across the business with key stakeholders
  • Experience of managing successful projects
  • Proactively seeks solutions to problems that may arise, and the ability to deal with issues independently and effectively
  • The ability to manage a large, hybrid team.
  • Flexibility in approach and the ability to reprioritise in order to meet expectations
  • Excellent client care / service skills
  • Responsive to changing environments
  • Competent in managing and assessing risk
  • Good IT skills, including knowledge of a range of software packages.
