One-to-One Teaching Assistant
TA - One-to-One and Mainstream Support
Location: Co-Educational school and Sixth form in Lambeth
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team. This is a full-time position working one-to-one with a student for 1 to 2 hours per day and then providing mainstream support for the rest of the day.
Responsibilities:
- Offer personalized support to a student with specific learning requirements.
- Aid the student in setting and reaching academic objectives.
- Work collaboratively with the teacher to devise and execute a customized learning strategy.
- Assist the student with daily tasks and activities.
- Provide emotional support and motivation.
- Monitor the student's progress and provide updates to the teacher.
- Offer support in mainstream classrooms.
- Assist the teacher in lesson planning and preparation.
- Help students with their classwork and homework.
- Support the students' learning and growth.
- Continuously monitor student progress and communicate findings to the teacher.
Qualifications:
- Ideally, possess an advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Previous experience working with students with special needs is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capable of both independent work and effective teamwork.
- Deeply passionate about education and dedicated to making a positive difference in students' lives.
