In order to give our client and their devoted clientele complete support, my client, a very successful Financial Adviser who recently opened their own boutique independent practice, needs to find a capable, technically certified Paraplanner with a Diploma. With monthly team meetings and sporadic training sessions in the City of London, this Independent Financial Advisory business will conduct all of its operations remotely for this post. An experienced and self-assured Paraplanner would find this to be a great opportunity to work independently and offer the practice's clients outstanding service.

The Position:

As the Paraplanner, duties will include (but not be limited to):

Conducting research based on meeting clients’ financial needs and objectives.

Understanding investment portfolio analysis

Compiling investment/pension/protection illustrations and documentation

Creating and preparing technical suitability reports

Ensuring FCA regulations and compliance are met.

Supporting with ad hoc projects and tasks where required

Reviewing and understanding existing scheme information from providers.

Using research tools / systems to complete detailed analysis.

Cashflow modelling

Complying with the relevant compliance, TCF, T&C and, financial crime (anti-money laundering, data security, anti-bribery, fraud and corruption) procedures of the firm at all time

You will:

As an experienced Paraplanner, you will have:

Experience in a paraplanning role, preferably within an independent or whole-of-market practice, although candidates from restricted environments will also be considered

Qualification to a minimum of Level 4 Diploma standard.

Overall knowledge of key areas of financial planning and advice - Pensions (including switching and pension sharing orders), Investments, IHT and Estate planning and personal and business protection.

The ability to understand and interpret a cash flow forecast and summarise the key points

An understanding of writing styles, grammar, punctuation, avoidance of jargon and an understanding of the audience

The ability to interpret complex planning into clear and concise reports

Understand and apply FCA suitability requirements.

Excellent Word and Excel skills

Essentially the ability to work autonomously and unsupervised, and to always have the clients’ best interests in mind in all aspects of the role
