A leading organisation is seeking a talented Payroll & Pensions Officer to join their dynamic People and Organisational Development (P&OD) team!

In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of payroll and pension services for staff.

About the Role:

  • Provide specialist payroll and pension support to staff across the organisation.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate payroll processing, including complex payments.
  • Manage designated employee records and process payroll adjustments.
  • Generate detailed reports for relevant departments.
  • Contribute to projects to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Create and revise documents and reports, effectively communicating updates.
  • Analyse pension statements and ensure accurate pension contributions.
  • Resolve payroll and pension issues, finding optimal solutions.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships across the organisation.
  • Advise P&OD teams on payroll matters and provide training as needed.
  • Support the team in achieving objectives and participate in team member induction.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of regulatory requirements for payroll transactions.
  • Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion within the workplace.
You'll be a great fit if you have:

  • A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Broad-based payroll experience in a large and complex organisation.
  • Experience with all aspects of payroll processing, including starters, leavers, and leave entitlements.
  • A strong understanding of relevant pension schemes and legislation.
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in email, Microsoft Office Suite, and SharePoint.
  • Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organisational skills.
A bonus if you have:

  • Experience with the MHR iTrent HR & Payroll system.
  • Experience working within a similar organisation size and complexity.
  • Experience delivering training or briefings to staff groups.
