Hourly Rate: £13.21 - £17.30 per hour (Depending on experience)

Location: Clitheroe

Job Type: Temporary (until the end of the summer term)

Reed Education/Lancashire Teaching Agency are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team, supporting a mixed year 1/ year 2 class This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about contributing to the development and education of children. The school have stated that experience or knowledge in phonics is something they are keen for the potential candidate to have. The position is set to start the first week after May half term and is expected to last until the end of the summer term. (The role could go beyond summer into September for the right candidate)

Day-to-day of the role:

• Assist in the preparation and delivery of daily lessons.
• Provide support to individual students or small groups to help them understand the material and complete their tasks.
• Work under the guidance of the class teacher to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Help manage classroom resources and setup for activities.
• Supervise students during non-classroom times including lunch and recess as needed.
• Contribute to the monitoring and recording of student progress.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Must hold a Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in a similar role within a school setting is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with children.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• A commitment to professional growth and development.
