Our client a well know insurance company within the London Markets / Insurance sector are actively looking to hire a Product Manager - Acturis to work on and complete a transformation based programme.

This opportunity within our clients technology division has arisen for an Acturis Application Manager. This role is to facilitate the progression of a major rebranding exercise and will report into this project's Technology Delivery Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the analysis of the companies Acturis implementation, the management of work items arising from this analysis and the progression of both workstreams and technical requirements relating to the rebrand of our Acturis system. You will support colleagues, act as an escalation point for complex queries, refer blockers and issues upwards for support.

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Fully Remote or 2 Days Per Week in the Office

Rate: Negotiable Depending on Experience

Responsibilities:

Collaborating with the project's Technical Delivery Manager, the role's focus will be on the following and more:

  • Support the prioritisation and delivery of Project related work items coming into the team.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and reporting on workloads to ensure successful management and delivery of this key project.
  • Work with other Acturis manager to ensure that any work undertaken does not adversely impact on projects in flight.
  • Act as a point of escalation for complex queries with colleagues and escalate as required.
  • Assist in developing and managing the relationship with our supplier, Acturis.
  • Supporting businesses through system change, working alongside Acturis to ensure a smooth transition from existing system and minimising disruption to the business.
  • Support the identification and reduction of systems implementation and development costs with the supplier.
  • Support the successful delivery and implementation of the Rebrand project.
  • Support the management of key stakeholders across the business when dealing with work within their areas.
  • Lead the delivery of Acturis related Rebrand work to support the Technical Delivery Manager, Head of Core Systems and the Director of Application Delivery, and other members of the Rebrand project team.
  • Report back to the Technical Delivery Manager on ongoing work across the team and highlight any issues that may affect successful delivery to timescales and cost.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Experience with the insurance market and particularly with the Acturis broking system (Open GI, Applied and SSP would also be beneficial).
  • Manage and host Agile ceremonies. These will include daily stand-ups, sprint planning and backlog grooming.
  • Provide sprint reporting on the Project DevOps board. Provide Scrum Master role to push and track the delivery of User Stories to agreed end dates.
  • Understanding of the broking environment and processes.
  • Strong technical knowledge with the ability to learn new systems with ease.
  • Excellent MS Office skills.

You will need to demonstrate the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels and communicate across all mediums, ensuring language used is adapted to the recipients. Your technical ability will be highly competent and you will be able to gain credibility amongst senior stakeholders. You will need to be a team player, to lead by example, be self-motivated and able to operate independently. Excellent organisation skills, attention to detail whilst working at pace, maintaining enthusiasm, adaptability, and a willingness to learn.
