Pastoral Support Assistant (Psychology Graduate)

Location: Harrow, London

Employment Type: Full-Time, Temporary (Academic Year)

Salary: £90+ per day (Depending on Experience)

We are currently seeking a dedicated Psychology Graduate to join the school's Pastoral Support team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of its students.

Position Overview: As a Pastoral Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in promoting the well-being and personal development of the school's students. You will work closely with the school's pastoral team to provide guidance, support, and mentorship to students who may be facing various challenges. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Psychology Graduate to gain practical experience in an educational setting while utilizing your knowledge to make a difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students dealing with personal or emotional difficulties.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to improve students' emotional and social well-being.
  • Liaise with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
  • Organize and participate in workshops or activities that promote positive mental health and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe and inclusive school environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Empathetic and compassionate approach when working with students.
  • Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or educational setting is advantageous but not essential.
