Public/Proactive Services Lecturer

35 hours per week - 24 hours teaching time - Contract

Hours - 8:30 - 16:30

Pay Rate: Negotiable hourly rate

Our Client:

Our client is a 16+ Further Education College based in Cheshire, whose missions and ethos are based around students, and to be an inclusive and outstanding College. They strive to enhance the economic prosperity of young people, adults, and employers by delivering high-quality, work-related education and training. They work hard to create opportunities for their learners and work closely with local councils to ensure students have the best chance of succeeding after their chosen studies. The College supports over 10,000 students each year, and the College offers a range of vocational and academic courses.

The role:

The College is looking for a Lecturer who can deliver courses across all blue light services. The role is until the end of the academic year.

Duties of the position:

  • Deliver the level 3 BTEC in Proactive Services to 16+ students
  • Supporting 15 1st year students and 7 second year students
  • Delivering engaging lessons
  • Marking students work
  • Work closely with the department to ensure all learners have access to the support required to pass their studies

What you need:

  • A recognised teaching qualification
  • Enhanced DBS that is within 12 months and a copy of the original printed DBS
  • Have experience in delivering Public Services or Proactive Services to a level 3 or above
  • Good classroom management
  • Experience and knowledge of the level 3 BTEC qualification
  • Up-to-date industry knowledge
