Quality Control Inspector - Based Poole

Due to continued growth, our client is currently seeking Quality Control Inspectors with mechanical inspection experience or apprenticeship trained or qualified by experience to join their expanding team.

As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting parts and products and witnessing final product tests to a high-quality standard and be willing to train and achieve non-destructive evaluation qualifications.

You will have experience of using standard hand-held measuring equipment, surface plate equipment, CMM, comparator, fixed gauging, thread gauges etc. to measure to a high level of accuracy and precision.

Basic £44,000 includes shift allowance working double days. Excellent benefits - 37 hours per week, paid overtime after 37 hours, 33 days holidays, excellent pension, benefits, excellent career opportunities

Candidate

  • Experienced of using hand tools and CMM measuring techniques.
  • Able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative whilst managing your own time and perform and produce quality work to a high standard
  • Have a positive attitude and work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills, written and spoken
  • Competent creating reports and inspection reports with ability to feedback problems to the senior quality control manager
  • Competent using Word and Excel
  • You will have a willingness to train and achieve non-destructive evaluation qualifications

Duties

  • You will inspect machined parts, sub-assemblies and final assemblies from drawings and procedures and inspect completed products including the witness of performance tests and final documentation
  • records.
  • Inspect goods inward activities, including positive material identification as required
  • Calibrate gauges and test equipment and perform other such duties commensurate with the nature and level of the post as may be reasonably required.
