About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, you will play a key role in overseeing and strengthening our risk management practices. In this remote position, you will provide practical and effective risk advice and support to all areas of the business, ensuring we proactively identify, assess, and manage potential threats. Rare travel to Basingstoke will be required.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement and maintain compliance with risk management best practices.
  • Advise and support key personnel on risk management strategies and best practices.
  • Oversee the reporting and management of business incidents.
  • Assist departments in conducting risk and control assessments.
  • Work with stakeholders to continuously improve risk management processes and controls.
  • Manage and maintain the company's central risk register, including regular updates to risk assessments and risk appetite statements.
  • Provide ongoing analysis and recommendations for improving key risk indicators (KRIs) and risk reporting.
  • Identify and support the management of emerging and inherent risks across the organization.
  • Deliver risk management training and coaching to employees at all levels.
  • Provide risk expertise for key projects and initiatives, ensuring risks are identified early and effectively mitigated.
  • Review and maintain key risk management policies.
  • Develop and implement a control methodology for testing the effectiveness of the company's risk management framework.
  • Prepare risk reports as needed to support informed decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a risk management role (first or second line) or as a risk consultant.
  • Proven experience in implementing and embedding a comprehensive risk management framework.
  • Deep understanding of risk management principles and best practices.
  • Ability to identify and propose practical solutions to risk management challenges.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence senior management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in operational and conduct risk management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
