Position: School Caretaker
Location: Glossop, SK13
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Until the end of the academic year (with potential for extension)
Pay Rate: £13 to £15 per hour

Role Overview: As a School Caretaker, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our school premises. Your duties will include:

  • Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness throughout the school buildings and grounds.
  • Conducting routine inspections to identify and address any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Ensuring the safety and security of the premises, including locking and unlocking buildings as required.
  • Assisting with the setup and coordination of school events and activities.
  • Responding promptly to any emergencies or health and safety concerns.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Previous experience in a caretaker or facilities management role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Strong practical skills and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • A flexible and adaptable attitude, with a willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • A commitment to upholding the values and ethos of our school community.
