Position: School Finance Officer (part-time)
Location: Southall, Middlesex
Salary: £27,858 - £31,782 FTE, Outer London Band 5-6 (salary quoted is full time equivalent, it will be pro rata)
Hours: 20 per week, (term time plus 1 week in the holidays)

NAG are working with a friendly, caring multicultural Primary School in Southall. They have been validated by UNICEF as a 'Gold Rights Respecting School' the first to be credited in the Ealing Borough!

They are bring in a Finance Officer on a part-time basis for 20 hours per week, there is a great deal of flexibility around days and hours so these can be agreed to suite your movements within reason.

Ideally you will have previous experience of working in a school environment and school finance processes, however strong finance officers outside of education will be considered.

The Role

  • You will be responsible for the majority of the finance administration in the school.
  • Process orders, invoices, payments and bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain the school inventory with the School Business Manager.
  • Take action to ensure outstanding financial audit outcomes.
  • Budgets - Virements, Figures, Monitoring & Journals.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Have experience of finance (industry or school), working systems, ledgers, spreadsheets etc.
  • Be trained in FMS (and ideally SIMS).
  • Have experience working within a school office or education setting.
