Job Title: Second Chef

Location: Penarth

I am currently working with a vibrant and dynamic restaurant/cafe dedicated to delivering exceptional culinary experiences to their valued customers.

Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Second Chef. This position will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation during peak periods.

Responsibilities:

  • Covering the Head Chef in all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Ensure consistency and quality.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area.
  • Collaborate with Head Chef to ensure smooth operations.
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of various cooking techniques.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate Essential.

Duration: Temporary position, ASAP - End of August
