Reed Education is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and dedicated RE Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Lancaster. This full-time, long-term role is an excellent opportunity for a teacher with a strong knowledge of the RE curriculum, effective communication skills, and a commitment to fostering an engaging learning environment.

Day to day of the role:
  • Delivering RE lessons in line with the curriculum for KS3 and KS4, with the potential to teach KS5.
  • Creating an inspiring classroom atmosphere to promote student engagement and learning.
  • Assessing student progress, providing feedback, and adapting teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
  • Implementing effective classroom management techniques to maintain a conducive learning environment.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school community.
  • Acting as a positive role model for students, embodying qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, and good communication.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Recent relevant experience teaching RE at KS3 and KS4, with KS5 experience being beneficial.
  • Strong subject knowledge and proven classroom management skills.
  • A reliable and committed individual who is keen to make a positive impact on students’ education.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to be patient, punctual, and confident in working with children.
