Secondary School Chemistry Teacher Needed in Blackburn!

Can you plan and deliver dynamic lessons that cater to the needs and abilities of the students?

Do you hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and PGCE for secondary or an equivalent teaching certification required for this position?

Can you assess students regularly and offer constructive feedback to aid their learning journey?

In this role, you will lead engaging and informative lessons tailored to students in Key Stages 3 and 4. You'll cover a range of topics, from fundamental chemical principles to more advanced concepts, fostering a love for chemistry and preparing students for their future studies.

We're seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher to join the educational teams in Blackburn, providing support to students in KS3 and KS4. The daily pay rate for this role ranges from £155 to £230, depending on your experience, qualifications, and teaching level.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to subject development by producing, reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
• Strong knowledge of the curriculum
• Punctual and reliable
• Teach classes allocated and provide a well planned challenging, purposeful learning environment
• Develop approach to self - directed learning, use technology to support learning
• Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
• Set homework and mark promptly
• Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
• Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
• Respond to questioning
• Supervise and support students in laboratory experiments and research projects.
