SEMH Outreach Teacher
Reed Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEMH Outreach Teacher to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves working collaboratively with schools across Calderdale to enhance their Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) provisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance and support to schools in developing and implementing effective SEN/SEMH strategies.
- Travel to various schools within Calderdale, adapting to different environments and needs.
- Work closely with school staff to identify pupils who require additional SEMH support.
- Develop tailored intervention plans and monitor student progress.
- Facilitate training sessions for school staff on SEN/SEMH best practices.
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience in supporting SEN/SEMH within an educational setting.
- A relevant qualification in SEN/SEMH or related field.
- SENDCO qualification is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A strong commitment to inclusive education principles.
- Ability to travel between schools as required.
