Salary: £19,803

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant at Dudley Port School, you will work with diverse young people, helping them achieve positive learning outcomes despite challenges they may face. Within this role, an ideal candidate will have excellent rapport skills and be able to support children both 1:1 and in clasroom groups. Additonally, within this role as a SEN Teaching Assitant, there are frequent oppotunites for progression and personal development

Responsibilities

  • Support students in their educational and social development
  • Assist inside and outside the classroom to ensure full engagement in activities
  • Set up activities using technology or adjust the environment as needed
  • Support teachers, engage with students, provide learning support, and manage classroom situations positively
  • Provide personalised learning support to students as needed

What are the requirements?

  • Qualified Teaching Assistant with relevant experience in a SEN setting
  • Very professional attitude
  • Able to create natural rapport with both parents, staff and pupils
  • Full time availability Monday to Friday
