Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Sheffield

Start Date: After May Half-Term

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEN in their learning activities, both in groups and on a one-to-one basis.
  • Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and behavioural strategies tailored to each student's needs.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes engagement and positive relationships.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to provide holistic support for students with SEN.
  • Assist with the personal care and physical needs of students, if required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with diverse learning needs.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the school environment.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN education or support (desirable but not essential).
