I am currently recruiting for a Senior Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join an established manufacturer in Crewe on part-time basis (c. 3 days/24 hours). Working alongside the Directors, you will provide be responsible for the day to day financial management of the business, month end and liaison with external accountants.

Duties will Include:

  • Daily banking activities and monthly bank reconciliation
  • Sales and purchase ledger assistance
  • Responsible for supplier and customer statements
  • Month end process, journals, reconciliations
  • VAT return
  • Monthly P&L and Balance sheet reporting, monthly KPI's
  • Work with directors to produce a budget
  • Cashflow
  • Payroll experience (advantageous)
  • Work with external accountants and Auditors
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to company policies and procedures

Qualifications & Experience:

  • AAT qualified/QBE
  • Demonstrable experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in using accounting software such as PeopleSoft, Sage, Xero, Workday, or QuickBooks
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
