Senior Conference Producer - Life Science Conferences

Oxfordshire based, Hybrid working + Travel

Base Salary up to £40,000 + Commission + Benefits

We’re looking for a bright, ambitious, experienced Conference Producer who is inspired to produce outstanding life science conferences. You will research, develop and improve existing events and research, launch and produce new conferences. You will join a team of conference producers who work at a fast pace, with exceptional attention to detail and have a depth of quality across the entire production cycle.

Your Responsibilities will include:

  • Research - you will undertake in-depth telephone market research and analysis of key industries and topics for each event.
  • Analysis - Identify and analyse industry trends and challenges to develop your agenda.
  • Network - Lead senior advisory board meetings throughout the year to support the development of your events.
  • Speaker Recruitment - Identify and secure high-profile industry experts to speak at your events.
  • Programme - create an engaging, commercially viable and insightful agenda.
  • Communication - liaising with senior professionals requires you to be confident, engaging & have clear communication skills. Great attention to detail with all written & spoken communication.
  • Marketing - Write and deliver the delegate and sponsorship sales and marketing briefs. Proofread event marketing copy.
  • Editorial Content - lead editorial content for your events, produce webinars, surveys, podcasts and video Q&As.
  • Team - Work collaboratively with the sponsorship sales, delegate sales, marketing and event management teams to drive the event forward and grow revenues.
  • Project manage your conferences to ensure deadlines, budgets and KPI’s are achieved.
  • KPI’s - Manage and achieve your events KPIs throughout the production cycle.
  • Attend & manage your events onsite.
  • Mentoring - have the opportunity to mentor a small team of junior producers.

About you

  • A degree or equivalent qualification
  • You must have direct experience in b2b conference production (not event organising/ operations), we are looking for around 2 years of experience.
  • Academic or work based knowledge of the life sciences industry is highly advantageous.
  • Comfortable working in a deadline driven environment.
  • Excellent research and writing skills are very important.
  • The ability to work independently and with others in the event project team.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects within tight timelines.
  • Able to travel internationally to attend your events.
