Kenneth Brian Associates are working exclusively with a leading not for profit organisation who are seeking a Qualified Business partner (ACCA/CIMA/ACA), who has worked within the education sector.

The role will oversee the business partnering service for housing and central departments internally whilst personally delivering business partnering support and expert financial oversight to Education, Skills & Employment.

As part of your role you will also be required to monitor financial transactions and budgets, ensuring proper accounting for day-to-day financial transaction of 'ESE’ in particular education tuition fees, bursaries, fee structures, invoicing and purchasing. Maintain an updated costing record for students and keep track of all ESE income and contractual obligations.

Key duties:

  • Produce quality and timely financial management information to meet adhoc, monthly, termly and annual requirements.
  • Report as required to funders of the education committee and housing group.
  • Support and comply with month end processes and timetables.
  • Ensure robust preparations are in place to meet annual organisational audits of the financial statements, and any future ESFA audits.
  • Ensure full compliance with organisational policies and financial controls in all areas
  • As necessary support and engage with the development and implementation of new systems, policies and controls.
  • Manage and develop financial processes and systems so that they are robust, efficient and properly aligned to the companies wider policies.
  • Develop and ensure an appropriate accounting system for activities pertaining to education or employment, including farm payments, cost analysis and stock control pertaining to retail & hospitality projects.

Hours: 35 hours per week

Location: Remote with occasional travel to Devon

Salary: £60,000 plus working from home allowance
